A pro-bono project to create a rooftop garden to be used by groups attending training sessions, film showings and exhibitions. Located at 107 Projects Redfern, the site presented particular challenges. Being a concrete inner city rooftop all structures needed to be carried up the narrow staircases of the building and be freestanding. A living shade structure was created with willows to provide a place to shelter from the heat of the sun. Productive beds provide produce for the 107 café and the community. The Rooftop garden is now a thriving community space. In 2016 Fresh Landscape Design received two Gold national awards and a Silver national award from the Australian Institute of Landscape Designers and Managers for the 107 Projects rooftop garden.
