Erskine Business Park is a rapidly growing precinct in Western Sydney based around a biodiversity corridor and busy roads with many large trucks. As part of Penrith City Council’s Erskine Business Park Local Infrastructure and Estate Identity Enhancement Program we provided landscape architecture services and co-ordinated the design team. The end result included enhancing the existing entry signs with planting and sculptural elements, development of a new DDA compliant bus shelter design to be used throughout Penrith, creating a recreation area complete with outdoor gym, table tennis and picnic facilities, street tree planting, mass plantings to enhance the streetscapes, small seating areas and a plan for bush regeneration and weeding in the biodiversity conservation area. The result is an aesthetically pleasing yet practical landscape that provides for people working in the business park while protecting the adjacent biodiversity area.
